Hayman is temporarily closed from 6 March until 31 July 2011 in order to repair damage that was caused by Tropical Cyclones Anthony and Yasi, which passed over the island on 30 January and 2 February 2011.

The two cyclones regrettably did not spare Hayman entirely and specialist assessments identified that the rectification works required across various parts of the island would result in significant guest impact and the closure of the resort for a period of time.

The works encompass key guest and accommodation areas, activity facilities, essential infrastructure, landscaping, vegetation and grounds works throughout the island.

Beautiful Hayman will re-open on 1 August 2011 in time for Spring and Summer holidays and we are accepting new reservations arriving from this date.
